The Setting
Adventure and relaxation await in the highlands of Duntroon along the escarpment just 90 minutes northwest of Toronto and located 15 minutes away from Collingwood. The Highlands House is a short drive to the Blue Mountain Village, Creemore, Pretty River Valley and many of the other outdoor destinations that have made South Georgian Bay Ontario’s Four Season destination.
Situated near the top of the Escarpment with many forming streams from the headwaters of the Batteaux Creek.The land once operated as a farm dating back to the 1800’s, the chalet is surrounded by lush forest, apple orchards and open fields. This modern chalet was designed by a renowned local architect whose family has lived in the area for generations.
The Designer Chalet
Upon entry to the chalet, enjoy a spacious foyer made specifically for guests who love the outdoors. Offering two open concept living areas and two full kitchens. The upstairs includes two bedrooms, an office area, a 3-piece and 2-piece bathroom. The downstairs includes two additional bedrooms which can be perfect for another family, guests or act as a kids play area, as well as 3-piece and 2-piece bathroom.
Outdoor Amenities
There are two outdoor fireplaces at The Highlands House…one in front overlooking the fields and South Georgian Bay, and the other in Pavilion. The Pavilion offers offers a sheltered space with two long tables perfect for those summer night outdoor dinners.
Bike Amenities
A large shed also provides bike storage and a bike repair station. With a barn door entrance, it’s an ideal place to get ready for your next biking adventure!
Corporate and family getaways
The space is perfect for small executive & small team getaways who love to mix it up with biking and other outdoor activities.
Families have also enjoyed The Highlands House, including the outdoor pavillion, for family celebration and getaways.
