Our Story
This designer chalet was designed by a renown local architect whose family has lived in the area for generations. It sits near the top of the Escarpment with its many streams forming the headwaters of the Batteaux Creek. Once operated as a farm dating back to the 1800’s, the chalet is surrounded by fields, forest, and orchards. Trails offer a chance to explore the land during every season.
We are constantly improving the biking and hiking trails that wind through the property and our neighbours. The new Woolner Loop for example provides an immersive walk through both apple and cranberry orchards. The Highlands House also sits at the starting point of extensive mountain biking trails managed by the Collingwood Off-Road Cycling Club.

Protecing the Escarpment
Since acquiring the property in 2021 we have begun a series of improvements, including the construction of a new Pavillion perfect for those memorable outdoor long table dinners with friends and family. We are also working on returning native crops to the land, which is already rich with edible vegetation.
Protecting the escarpment and working in harmony with nature is incredibly important to us. That’s why we are working with local, municipal, regional and provincial partners to protect this incredible special part of the Niagara Escarpment.
