Ryan Praskey is an experienced Chef De Cuisine with a demonstrated history of working in the hospitality industry, with a particular passion for bringing the farm back to the kitchen, connected people with the food they are eating. Skilled in Catering, Food & Beverage, Cooking, Food Preparation, and Hospitality Industry. He is a strong operations professional with a Diploma in Culinary Arts/Chef Training from Humber College Culinary Management.  He is regarded as one of the top young Chefs to watch in the region.

“I started my cooking career washing dishes at the royal York hotel when I was 17 and cooked my way through Whistler, Australia, Toronto and Vancouver.  Training at some amazing kitchens along the way. Most notably, Gusto in Noosa, Rain city grill in Vancouver, Momofuku and The Oxley in Toronto.  After working in city’s for most of my career, I wanted to be closer to the farms and purveyors I’ve always been so passionate about working with.”- Chef Ryan Praskey

Black Box Catering

Chef Justin Miller & Chef Terry Clough have been a bit part of the region’s culinary growth, including Cabin Bistro, Cabin Kitchen, a regular fixture at the Collingwood Farmer’s Market and winners of numerous awards. 

From their kitchen to their food truck, Black Box Catering can serve the smallest to the largest indoor and outdoor events.

Burger Bob specializes in roasts for special events. He has his own custom made roaster with extensive experience catering larger events including many at Duntroon Highlands Golf. 

Chef Christophe is owner and head chef and The Nottawa General Store, Chef Christophe brings extensive experience to his kitchen including being the original founder of The Tremont Cafe. He has partnered with some of the top chefs and cooks in the region to bring delicious freshly made dishes, prepared meals and special events catering to the area.
